Supporting a church’s visual communication through thoughtful and community centered design.
My work with the Island Church of Whidbey focused on creating cohesive print and digital materials that supported both weekly services and community events. As a graphic designer, I created morning brochures, handouts, flyers, and event graphics designed to communicate information clearly while maintaining a warm and welcoming visual identity aligned with the church’s message and atmosphere.
In addition to print materials, I designed sermon presentation slides and worship visuals used during services to support announcements, lyrics, and teaching content. My approach emphasized clean layouts, readability, and consistency across every touchpoint, helping strengthen the church’s overall visual presence and create a more engaging experience for all of its attendees.
I designed weekly service bulletins and informational handouts that organized announcements, sermon notes, worship schedules, and event details into a clean and easy to follow format. The layouts were created to feel welcoming and accessible while maintaining visual consistency across each week’s materials. Special attention was placed on typography, spacing, and hierarchy to ensure information remained readable for all attendees.
Occasionally I would developed promotional graphics for church gatherings, seasonal events, community outreach programs, and special services. These visuals were created for both print and digital use, helping increase visibility and maintain a cohesive visual presence across social media, announcements, and physical signage. The designs are aimed to feel inviting and modern while also staying aligned with the church’s overall identity and message.
I also designed business cards and a variety of printed promotional materials that extended the church’s visual identity beyond weekly services. This included flyers, invitation cards, informational print pieces, and event collateral developed to feel polished, approachable, and community oriented. The overall direction emphasized consistency, warmth, and clean design while helping strengthen the church’s communication across multiple touchpoints.
I created sermon slides and worship presentation visuals used during weekly services to support lyrics, scripture, announcements, and teaching content. The presentation system focused on clarity, minimal distraction, and cohesive branding, helping create a more engaging and visually unified worship experience. Designs balanced readability with atmospheric visuals that aligned with the tone of each service.
