A collection of personal work exploring form, color, and observation through both acrylic and oil painting.
This body of personal work reflects my ongoing exploration of painting as both a technical and creative practice. Beginning with acrylic in 2022, I focused on recreating environments and moments through observation, using photography as a reference point to study composition, color, and detail. Over time, my work evolved into oil painting, where I developed a deeper understanding of texture, blending, and layering.
Through this process, I’ve refined my ability to translate real-world subjects into visual compositions while experimenting with different techniques and styles. These pieces represent both my growth as an artist and my interest in capturing atmosphere, light, and form in a more hands-on, expressive way.
I focused on observational painting, using reference imagery to guide composition while allowing room for interpretation. Emphasis was placed on capturing light, texture, and depth to create a sense of realism and presence within each piece.
I have worked across both acrylic and oil to understand the strengths of each medium. Acrylic allowed for faster studies and experimentation, while oil painting introduced more control over blending, richness, and detail.
